Recently I’ve been seeing more and more Instant Pot accessories popping up online, and I’ve actually purchased quite a few of them to use at home. From a steamer basket to a sturdier alternative to the Instant Pot trivet, these handy accessories can make your Instant Pot even more useful than it already is (if you can believe it!)
So today I wanted to share a few of the best Instant Pot accessories with you, including both the Instant Pot accessories I have at home as well as a few that are still on my “wish list.” :-) Whether you’re looking for Instant Pot accessories to buy now, or you want to save these links for later, I’m sure you’ll have as much fun perusing these products and I had choosing them!
But these accessories aren’t the only things that can make your favorite pressure cooker even more indispensable. Before we jump into the full list of Instant Pot accessories, I thought it would be helpful to provide a quick reminder of what types of materials and accessories are safe to use in an Instant Pot (or any electric pressure cooker, for that matter!)
Can You Use Pyrex/Aluminum Foil/Metal In An Instant Pot?
There are a lot of common kitchen materials and containers you can safely use in your Instant Pot, or use to fashion your own Instant Pot accessory! When an Instant Pot recipe calls for it, oven-safe glass like Pyrex can be safely used in your pressure cooker, as long as the glass is free of cracks and other signs of damage.

Metal containers such as stainless steel and non-stick containers can be used in the Instant Pot too, as well as silicone accessories. Aluminum foil is a good choice when you need to cover an open container or bowl, and you can even use parchment paper to line dessert pans for easy cleanup. (Who knew that so many materials were safe to use inside of a pressure cooker?) :-)
With that said, here’s my ultimate list of Instant Pot accessories:
The 21 Best Instant Pot Accessories You Can Buy In 2023
1. Genuine Instant Pot Tempered Glass Lid
This glass lid is great for containing splatters and keeping an eye on your meal when you’re using non-pressurized settings like Sauté and Slow Cook. Just set the glass lid right on top of the inner pot to keep your kitchen counters clean and prevent your food from drying out while it cooks. This could be my #1 favorite Instant Pot accessory of all!
2. Genuine Instant Pot Silicone Lid
A simple silicone lid like this is one of the most useful accessories you can get for your Instant Pot. This specific lid is BPA free, dishwasher safe, and perfect for storing leftovers —just pop the lid on the inner pot and stick it in your fridge!
3. Air Fryer Lid
This handy air fryer lid will transform your standard 6 quart Duo into an air fryer so you can cook up deliciously crispy wings, fries, and more.
4. Stainless Steel Steamer Basket Insert with Safety Tool
I use this stainless steel steamer basket to steam veggies in my Instant Pot, and I like that it comes with a useful little hook you can use to safely lift the hot steamer basket out of the pot after cooking.
5. Hatrigo Steamer Basket for Pressure Cooker with Silicone Handle
If you’re looking for a more structured type of steamer, look no further than this Hatrigo steamer basket! The stainless steel feet and handles of the steamer basket are wrapped in protective silicone to prevent burns and scratches, and the tall sides will keep your food contained on the way into and out of the pot.
6. OXO Good Grips Pressure Cooker Bakeware Sling, Red
This silicone sling from OXO is one of my all-time favorite Instant Pot accessories! I use it every single time I make my Instant Pot cheesecake to lower the pan into the pot and to lift it out after cooking. (I also appreciate how tall base of this sling is, because it essentially doubles as a trivet and keeps my cake pan out of the water!)
7. PerHomeAid Silicone Kitchen Tongs, 16”
Having a long pair of heat-resistant tongs can be very helpful for inserting and removing food from the deep inner pot. These ones are even long enough to protect you from painful oil splatters while using the Sauté function!
8. Aozita Stackable Steamer Insert Pans with Sling for Pressure Cookers
These nifty stainless steel stacking pans are perfect for reheating leftovers in your Instant Pot. You can put your meat or main dish in one pan and your sides in the other, then lock it up, place it in your Instant Pot, and cook on High for 5 minutes. It’s the best way to reheat leftovers, in my opinion!
9. AmazonBasics Reusable Silicone Baking Cups
Keep a set of silicone cupcake liners on hand to use in your Instant Pot. I have this set from AmazonBasics, which is made from dishwasher safe and BPA free silicone, and use them frequently for cooking poached eggs, mini cheesecakes, and more!
10. Genuine Instant Pot Ceramic Non Stick Inner Cooking Pot, 6 qt
It’s never a bad idea to have a second inner pot on hand! Not only is this non stick inner pot especially useful for cooking foods that tend to stick, but it also gives you the freedom to get a side dish ready to cook while you’re cooking something in your stainless steel inner pot.
11. Instant Pot Official Springform Pan, 7.5”
This little springform cake pan fits perfectly inside both 6 quart and 8 quart Instant Pot models, and it’s a must-have for making my famous Instant Pot cheesecake. This one is non stick too, which makes cleanup a breeze.
12. Aozita Stackable Egg Steamer Rack with Heat Resistant Handles
If you like hard boiled or soft boiled eggs, you’ll definitely want to get an egg steamer rack. This one holds the eggs securely in place so you don’t have to worry about them rolling around or breaking during pressure cooking.
13. Instant Pot Yogurt Cups and Pressure Sterilization Rack
If you are the type who utilizes the Instant Pot’s more obscure functions, you’ll love this set with yogurt cups and a pressure sterilization rack! These are perfect for both the Yogurt and Sterilize functions, whether you want to whip up a batch of tasty homemade yogurt or sterilize baby bottles.
14. Aozita Silicone Egg Bites Molds for Pressure Cooker
Move over, breakfast sandwiches, because egg bites are the new breakfast of choice for eating on the go. And with these silicone egg bites molds, you can whip them up easily in your Instant Pot!
15. IKEA RÅSKOG Utility Cart
This cart from IKEA isn’t technically an accessory, but I’m including it here anyway because it’s such a great storage solution! The top rack fits the 6 quart Instant Pot models perfectly, making it easy to roll it in and out of storage as needed.
Read more about all the useful things you can do with the RÅSKOG cart here.
16. Luxja Dust Cover for 6 qt Instant Pot with Pockets
When you aren’t using your Instant Pot, this cloth dust cover will keep it clean! This cover also features a few handy storage pockets for tools and other Instant Pot accessories.
17. LoveU. Silicone and Cotton Double-Layer Heat Resistant Gloves
Anyone who uses their Instant Pot frequently should have a good pair of silicone gloves. Not do they protect your hands when handling a hot steamer basket or other containers, but they will help you grip more securely than other types of oven mitts too.
18. The Steam Boss Steam Release Diverter
The quick release feature on the Instant Pot is the fastest way to release pressure when your food is fully cooked. Normally, the steam release valve on the lid of your Instant Pot directs the steam straight up. But with this nifty little steam diverter, you can point the steam off to one side and avoid steaming up the underside of your cabinets. I can’t tell you how many times I wished I had something like this before I found it!
19. Genuine Instant Pot Sealing Rings 2-Pack, 6 qt
The silicone sealing ring that sits in the lid of your Instant Pot can absorb food flavors and aromas over time. But if you have a couple of extras on hand, you can designate one sealing ring to use for savory foods and another sealing ring for desserts. It’s a simple way to avoid any unwanted flavor transfers from your sealing rings.
20. Replacement Steam Release Handle, Float Valve, and Anti-Block Shield for Instant Pot Duo, 3/6 qt
Those small parts on your Instant Pot lid (including the steam release handle, float valve, and anti-block shield) can be surprisingly easy to lose. So why not keep this inexpensive set of replacement parts on hand? You may need them someday!
21. Accessories Set for 6/8 qt Instant Pot, 82 pcs
If you haven’t bought any accessories for the Instant Pot yet, you might be interested in this Instant Pot accessories set! It includes many of the accessories featured in this list, including steamer baskets, an egg rack, a springform pan, an egg bites mold, and more.
(Note: While this looks to be a genuinely useful set of accessories, I thought I’d point out that the “82 pieces” claim is a bit misleading, since 60 of those are parchment papers for cakes.)
