Garlic Cheddar Biscuits (copycat Red Lobster Biscuits recipe)

Let’s face it, when I’m out for dinner at Red Lobster they could just hand me a basket of their warm cheddar biscuits and some sweet churned butter and leave me to my own devices. I’d be completely satisfied!

Well it’s your lucky day. You can now create these divine biscuits right at home in no time. Just a few ingredients that are likely to be in your fridge and pantry right now. An easy and delicious way to round out your meal.

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups purchased or homemade bisquick mix
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 cup whole milk
3 cloves garlic, roasted, smashed
4 tbsp butter
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp red pepper flakes

Directions:
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees. Add biscuit mix, cheddar and hot pepper flakes into a large bowl. Finely mince roasted smashed garlic cloves. Add half to biscuit-cheddar mix, setting half aside. Mix and incorporate ingredients with your hands until dough is well blended.
Note: Mixture will be sticky. Form biscuit sized balls of dough Place dough on cooking spray or parchment paper coated baking sheet. Flatten and smooth biscuits into uniform shapes leaving room between. There will not be much spreading. In small bowl add butter (melted), minced garlic and oregano and mix well. Set aside. Bake biscuits approximately 12-15 mins or until edges are turning golden, checking in after 10 mins Remove from oven and brush with garlic oregano butter mixture
I made a double batch – because hey if I didn’t there wouldn’t be any leftovers! I love to take the time to double up to save cooking time and energy ($).

I used the leftover biscuits the next morning to make a copycat certain large burger chain’s breakfast sandwiches. They were delightful.

Enjoy!
